I have had a variety of cold brew makers over the years including the large, expensive square one that always pops up in the searches. There will always be a certain level of messiness with cleaning out the grounds of any of these units but this one has hands down been the easiest to clean. I have made 2 rounds of cold brew so far and have tried dumping the grounds right away and letting them dry out a bit before discarding it. Both ways are fine. At least I know it isn’t worse if I wait. Now for the coffee. The dual filter makes a huge difference in how fast it finishes the brew. The looks and size of this carafe is wonderful. Happy to have gotten the glass one as it does make a difference taste wise. Apparently dual filters makes a difference with sediment as well since I’ve not seen any so far.

Brilliant filter setup
This is the best iced coffee maker I’ve had and I’ve had more than a few. It’s so good I just bought a second. The filter is bloody brilliant. Solid assembly and easy to clean. The cylinder jar is about as tall as a half gallon of milk with is convenient shelf space wise. Who ever designed this addressed every stupid ass design flaw that seemed built in by design in all of my previous makers.

Great product, worth the price. You spend $ on quality coffee, don't buy a cheap brewer.
Well made and designed product. Was considering either the Vinci or the Takeya glass versions. I own 2 of the Takeya plastic large containers that I like and they work well. It seems to me that the Takeya was a retrofit of the containers and the filter system was nothing special. That stated, the Vinci is purpose designed and built to serve the purpose and does so very well. Just made my first batch and followed the enclosed instructions with slight variation. Instructions say to leave the carafe outside the refrigerator, I did this for about 6 hours then put it in my fridge until the morning to steep. Also I filled the filter with coarsely ground coffee to the second to last section of the filter, just above the water fill mark and did the same with tap water, our water is pretty good since they removed the floridation. Nice thing about cold brew is no bloated feeling after drinking coffee or other regular coffee issues from high acidity. Very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend.
