This dosing funnel works great. This one is so much better than my other one. The magnets are really strong and has more than my other one and it actually holds on to the portafilter basket. It's really tall and wide so it makes it easy to pour your ground coffee into it or straight from your grinder. The other thing I really like is that it sits flush with the inside of the filter. My other one has a lip out edge that sits inside so my coffee is piled up higher and when I remove the funnel there's aring or gap around the inside edge where there's no coffee. Then when I tamper it more coffee falls and is not as eventually tampered as when I use this new one. This provides less mess and I can evenally tamper better. Definitely worth the price of you're an espresso lover like myself!

Anyone wanting to have that "right size" to catch any stray grinding dust--taller can be better if you have a long or short spout on your grinder. I measured the distance from my catch cup to my machine output--this filled the gap and it works great on a portafilter funnel as well. I'm using a Eureka grinder. I can use a standard WDT tool with this funnel, tap, remove, level, good to go!

This had mixed reviews but I think it's perfect. It's not a strong magnet but it doesn't need to be. I like the extra height so I don't make a mess when I'm making espresso

Not the right size. My breville tamper of 54mm would not fit. However the material is very high quality.

The magnets hold the funnel on the portafilter really well and the top of the funnel is very large which makes it hard to miss which means I am no longer spilling coffee grounds on my workspace. Worth the money

I’ve had a couple of these and this is a great dosing funnel. It’s just wide enough and it’s magnetic so it gives you a really clean basket Phil. I like the black color and it’s anodized so it’s really tough. Anyhow well designed item for not very much money

The funnel operates as intended and works great when using your WDT, but keep in mind the funnel goes on AFTER dispersing the grounds. If you are purchasing this, hoping to avoid spilling grounds from your Breville while it's dispersing into your portafilter, this is not the correct tool to purchase.

Beautiful all metal extra wide and tall dosing ring. Quality piece!Strong Magnets stick well to portafilter basket. I can turn the portafilter upside down and the piece stays in place well. If it doesn't stick for you then it's not the magnets. If that happens it means your basket is the wrong metal and you'll need a new basket.

This is meant to invite a relatively un-messy espresso workflow, with the Staresso SP-300 that we'll be taking to Europe with us. The little row of magnets lining the lower edge seem to latch onto the rim of that "lunar lander" (a memory association of Apollo mission years ago, landing struts spread wide) portafilter basket. The funnel is tall enough to catch most of the coffee grounds/powder, yet at the same time the smaller inside radius accommodates the tamper I use. If some fragrant dust escapes, that's the fault of klutzy fingers here: but stray particles on the counter top are no longer inevitable.

Weak magnet but it does fine

Sleek, and works well. Wide enough to dump grounds in without being super precise. No gap between the funnel and portafilter unlike cheaper ones, so no extra clean up for coffee grounds. I wish the magnets were a bit stronger so I could tap the portafilter without holding the funnel

This dosing funnel works great with the right basket. It’s designed for 51mm baskets but the outside diameter of the basket needs to be 59mm to fit snuggly. This means it doesn’t fit IMS baskets snuggly. With a little modification of the basket I got the funnel to fit well enough. The hold is tight enough for WDT but is easily knocked off.Using cheaper baskets this funnel works great. The grip is strong enough to lift the portafilter up a bit. The extra wide aspect is great too. Makes it easy to dose without spilling any grounds.

Fits my 51mm Normcore bottomless porterfilter. Makes WDT easier as it is a tall funnel. my previous one I had to be careful so it didn't spill. This one is a perfect size. Hasn't fallen off while stirring the coffee. Will recommend this tool. Only one gripe listed below.Cons: I wish the magnet was stronger. If I flip it and then gove it a jerk the funnel falls off.

It’s ok. I use it with a Normcore bottomless portafilter, DF64 grinder, and a Breville Barista Pro. It definitely helps funnel the grounds in when transferring from my grinder cup to the portafilter, but there are two things I wish were better. First, the magnets aren’t very strong, and if I’m not careful I’ll knock it off the portafilter during the transfer which makes a mess. Second, the tamper for the Breville doesn’t completely fit through the funnel. I can get the grounds flat enough after WDT that they aren’t helping above the portafilter rim before taking the funnel off, but I do have to remove the funnel to fully tamp the load.

Fits my Lucca basket nicely enough.. material appears to be aluminum which is nice as the statically charged coffee doesn’t seem to stick but rather, with a slight tap, drops the dust down into the basket. Magnets could stand to be a tad stronger so when I push against the start button on my Mignon grinder, it wouldn’t disturb how it’s seated. Not a biggie, just an observation. One other thing that would be been nicer would be if my tamper could fit through the diameter of the ring. But alas, it cannot so I must tap my basket down prior to removing the ring to tamp. Other than those slight issues, the dosing ring is solid and appears to be well made!
