good alternative basket

Although this basket is designed for Breville, I took a chance to see if I could make it work for my ancient Krups XP6010 machine. It also uses a 54mm basket, but the top isn't rounded, but flat. I attempted to modify the basket and was able to flatten the top, unfortunately, it didn't quite work out. I was pretty bummed because this basket would be a nice upgrade. The holes are smaller, but more plentiful than my current basket. It's also a good bang for the buck. I don't doubt that it will work well for Breville machines, but for my Krups it just wasn't meant to be.

Average Portafilter Basket

This 54mm stainless steel portafilter basket fits perfectly in my portafilter, and I am using Breville Barista Express espresso machine. It’s well-made and feels durable. The only issue I’ve noticed is that it seems to allow a bit more water flow compared to my other baskets, so I’ve had to adjust my grind size and shot setup to compensate. Once dialed in, it works well and produces a nice espresso. Overall, a okay basket for the price.
