Most people think precision coffee requires more complicated equipment. It doesn't. The right scale can make your recipe clearer, your pour calmer, and your best cups much easier to repeat.

If your brew changes from one morning to the next, you may be missing the numbers that matter: weight, time, ratio, and flow. The Maestri House S3 puts those details where you can see them without interrupting the ritual.

The Maestri House S3 Coffee Scale is a rechargeable barista tool with 0.1 g precision, three brew modes, adjustable ratios from 1:1 to 1:18, and a real-time flow rate display. Use it for pour-over, espresso, French press, and everyday kitchen weighing.

  • Measure with confidence: 0.1 g precision and a fast response help you track coffee and water without second-guessing your recipe.
  • Let the scale do the math: Set your coffee-to-water ratio and let the scale calculate your target water weight as you brew.
  • Refine your pouring: The real-time flow rate display helps you see whether your pour is gentle, steady, or too fast.
  • Keep brewing for months: The built-in 500 mAh battery recharges by USB-C and can deliver up to 90 days of use on a charge.
  • Protect your peaceful routine: Splash resistance, an IPX4 display panel, a heat-resistant silicone pad, and Silent Mode make it ready for real kitchens and quiet mornings.

It is perfect for serious home baristas, pour-over learners, espresso drinkers, French press fans, coffee ratio nerds, and anyone who wants professional-style control in a clean countertop design.

  1. Choose Auto Timer for pour-over, Auto Timer for espresso, or Standard Weighing.
  2. Set your ratio, tare your brewer, and follow the live weight, time, and flow readings.
  3. Finish your brew, save what worked, and repeat a cup you can count on.

With its bright dual-zone LED display, high-sensitivity touch controls, adjustable brew ratios, rechargeable battery, and modern blue finish, the S3 is built to bring more clarity to every brew.

Great scale that needs some improvements to be perfect

Very accurate scale, looks good in white, timer works nicely and I do like the concept of the ratio conversion. Shown in photos with 0 measurement drift over time, even without the silicone mat.To make this the best scale in the price range, I would change:- The auto timer function. Timing currently stops if you pick up the brew to swirl; you must completely restart the process if you do happen to pick it up. I would change that to only stop on user input (pressing a button).- The ratio conversion. Why offer XX.0 precision if you can only change the ratio in whole amounts? I'd suggest offering 0.1 increments, selectable with +/- buttons instead of cycling through.- The silicone mat is not well affixed and slides around. Kind of useless as-is and I just keep it off. I would wrap the whole thing around the measurement platform, similar to how the Greater Goods scale does it, to really keep it secure. It's not perfect, but for the price, it's a 4.5/5 for me. Rounding up to 5 since a 4 is considered "bad" by today's online rating standards.

Perfect for pourovers

This is a great scale for pourovers, and having it be usb-c rechargeable rather than taking littlest batteries is so nice.

Good scale but battery life is an issue...

I owned another scale from this same company that was actually too small for my new espresso machine and wanted one that had flow rate while I was at it so I got this.I am happy with it, has the features I wanted is accurate enough to generally notice a single bean but this and the other one have issues with battery life, like only a week maybe two, it seems to have to do with the touch based power button drawing constantly while it waits for you. I got a little more life using the physical on/off switch when I was done making coffee for the day but ultimately was enough of an issue I ended up upgrading my coffee station wall outlet to one with USB ports...

Scale sensitivity isn’t great

The general functionality is good conceptually, but it is a bit tough to use and not overly intuitive. The biggest issue I have is the scale sensitivity is annoying and can’t be trusted. When you tare out the catch cup for the beans, then add beans, the weight it measures the cup at changes. My catch cup weights 23.5g. I tare it and add beans. When I take the cup off the scale it’ll sometimes say -23.5 (which it should), or may drift as much as .3g either way.

Buena calidad

Pines que tiene un delay al presionar los botones y debe tratarse muy delicadamente para que funcione.

Easy to be consistent

Makes it easy to get the water-coffee proportions consistent. Easy to read the numbers. Other scales turn off, losing the measurement, if there's a delay in my process. This one stays on.

Great Coffee Scale

Very accurate, and works great. Coffee is better than ever thanks to this great scale. I drink one pour over cup a day, so I need that one cup to be delicious. This scale definitely helps make that easier. I highly recommend this piece.

it sure does work, but it's a HASSLE.

DEFINITIVELY entry level coffee scale, in that everything about it *works* but the more you use it the more you realize its shortcomings. The nonslip mat is horrendous and the regular surface has zero grip (which is what the mat is for, until you realize the mat slips off the scale's surface just as easily as any other item.), the capacitive touch buttons offer NOTHING in terms of feedback, unless you're working with both hands free and clean you're bound to run into some accidental double taps/button holds that get interrupted. There's also an issue that feels just plain nonsensical where the device TURNS ITSELF ON (even with the main power switch OFF) whenever you plug it in to charge, which is THIS device's extension of an issue I have with any scale that has two power options. That being said, I think my largest issue is with calibration. It always seems to be about 0.2 grams off of being assuredly accurate, this may just be my experience but it's definitely an issue when dealing with coffee and similar recipes that require .1 gram accuracy to reproduce. It's a perfectly cromulent device that LOOKS nice on the counter, but gives you exactly what you pay for.

not for espresso on small home machines -- more for pour overs

It's very good but large. More for pour-overs. If you want an espresso scale, go with the mini / portable one. Check dimensions for sure, I could not use this below my espresso machine because it didnt fit with the water tray in (too tall) nor did it fit with the water tray out (too wide) -- check dimensions. That said if I was doing pour overs this would be my preferred scale, as it has more room and more features.

Great Upgrade from Timemore – No More Accidental Resets

I bought the Maestri House S3 Coffee Scale to replace my Timemore scale, which I used mainly for pour-over. My biggest frustration with the Timemore was that it would reset itself whenever a bit of water accidentally dripped onto the power button. During pour-over, that happens more often than you’d expect, and it really disrupted the workflow. The Maestri House S3 completely solves this issue. Even though it also uses capacitive touch controls, I haven’t had any problems with accidental resets from water drips.Another feature I really like is the built-in timer with ratio alerts. The scale beeps when the target coffee-to-water ratio is met (configurable, but set to 1:15 by default), which is extremely useful during pour-over and removes the need to constantly watch the display.I also appreciate that it doesn’t aggressively auto-shut off after just a couple of minutes of inactivity, which I’ve experienced with other coffee scales. It stays on long enough to comfortably complete a brew without rushing.Overall, this scale feels well thought out and very practical for daily coffee making. I would highly recommend it, especially if you do pour-over and are frustrated by overly sensitive buttons or short timeouts.

IMO, a filter coffee lovers best scale option on a budget. Solid grade A choice.

I have two other .1mg "coffee" or food scales that I used regular for pour overs. I saw this has 4x display on real time flow rate, g/mg weight, timer, and grounds to water ratio for a solid price and purchased this after reading some reviews. One of my scales has these features, but the workflow on this scale just clicked a ton better for me.The beep isn't super loud annoying which is a major relief, as I just couldn't keep sound on on my other scale due to that trigger honestly. I tried brew mode immediately and will now only use that when making a pour over. Loved the beep alerting when I finally hit the proper ratio and I like it keeps my final info on screen after the brew for my study. I can actually practice my technique now and not have split attention as much. This is still compact, but fits a larger carafe well whereas my other scale is a better fit for the espresso machine. The display is clear and buttons have a slight tactile sensation from the print, but are still the capacitive touch based style. I tested it with weights and it is my most accurate scale, it hit the .1g accurately every time or at worst would fluctuate back and forth quickly from the true value (more than enough for me to trust it). It updates and tares from power on fairly fast, it reacts fast enough to touch to not make me pause much.My nitpicks are that the front clear matte plastic isn't quite uniform flat viewed at an off angle giving it a cheaper look, but that doesn't affect functionality at all and truth is, it really was very affordable for the feature set I feel. The second nitpick was that the scale's mat does not grip well or fit securely over prompting it to move around easily. For this I had to modify using some rubberized grip tape on the surface of scale underneath the mat itself. Now it doesn't slide from vibration and if any pressure down it doesn't slip. I could have removed it totally, but it is attractive and useful once stabilized. With that modification done, I can fully recommend this scale for filter coffee lovers at any price. Great product, hopefully lasts me a long time.
