Most people think great coffee comes from intuition alone. It doesn’t. Measuring weight and time consistently can turn unpredictable brews into repeatable cups you actually love.
Oversized scales crowd the drip tray, slow readings disrupt your pour, and manual timing makes it easy to lose track of extraction. Small inconsistencies can quickly change the taste of espresso or pour-over coffee.
The MHW-3BOMBER Mini Coffee Scale combines 0.1g precision, a built-in timer, and smart liquid detection in a compact rechargeable design made for espresso and pour-over brewing.
- Dial in with precision: Measures from 0.3g to 2000g and responds to 0.1g changes.
- Track every extraction: Choose manual timing or smart automatic timing that begins after liquid is detected.
- Fit smaller brewing spaces: The 4.1 x 4.1 x 0.7-inch body works on many espresso drip trays and coffee setups.
- Start faster: Pressure sensing can wake the scale when an item over 100g is placed on it, then reset to zero.
- Brew without disposable batteries: A built-in 700mAh lithium battery recharges through the protected charging port.
Perfect for espresso dialing, pour-over recipes, home baristas, travel coffee kits, compact kitchens, and anyone who wants more repeatable results.
- Place your cup or brewer on the scale and tare the weight.
- Select manual or smart timing and begin brewing.
- Monitor weight and time on the LED display, then repeat your best recipe.
The scale includes g/oz switching, a mute function, automatic shutoff, a non-slip base, and a removable silicone pad that resists heat and water. A one-year after-sales service is included.
Measure precisely and brew with confidence.

Great! Does what it's supposed to do. This combined with chatgpt made it very easy to dial in my Bambino espresso maker.
Docking a couple stars since I received a used scale and the timer and weight recording for espresso is hit or miss. Sometimes it records fine, other times either the timer won’t stop. Tried the lifting cup method and then the weight of the espresso would inconsistently be recorded… but the time would record. Not sure if this is user error, product malfunction, or just a flaw in design but it works fine as a manual espresso scale.Aside from the smart-mode issues this is a solid scale for the price. Fits great on my espresso machine and it gets the job done.
Great little scale that does the job. I use it daily for measuring espresso beans. Feels sturdy and doesn’t take up much space. Only giving 4 stars because the battery tends to die quicker than I expected it to between charges.
Great value for a really great product!
Excellent scale to the point. Worth the money. Don’t spend money in the cheap scales you will buying the 3Bomber, the best!
the auto-timer is botches, I had to return it
It’s a good accurate scale, easy to use, beautiful design, but the battery drains too fast.
Great little unit, works as described, use it daily and am very happy to recommend!
Excelente báscula la uso con mi máquina de espreso pero también para preparar mi v60, la recargo por vía usb c súper rápido, es intuitiva
A lot of technology for a small price.
TLDR: know this will fail in year two with frequent use, also know this is expected with pretty much any small form espresso scale in this price range.I bought this scale in November 2024. It was fantastic for the year it was under warranty. I followed their low voltage charging advice to preserve battery life. After about a year the battery began to decline noticeably. I use it EVERY DAY. I buy favorite whole bean coffees in bulk (2 or 5lb) and weigh them out in a few days' worth, vacuum seal, and freeze. So outside of coffee making, it also weighed a lot of coffee every few months. During the first year, I would have to charge it once per week or 10 days. I would charge it at 1 bar left - never fully discharge. I cook a lot and would use this for measuring ingredients for recipes as well. I suspect I use the scale more frequently than most, but I took good care and didn't expose it to water, always used the silicone mat to protect the load cell from heat, etc. Now I must charge the scale every 4-5 days because it gets down to 1 bar that swiftly now.Over the past 2 months I've seen that the load cell began to be unstable. It was rock solid for the first year. Now it varies by .2 to .4 and it's clear it is slowly failing. I suspect most scales in this price range are similar, because they all look the same and likely use the same interior components. So, the summary is: great great scale for the first year BUT the lifespan is limited at peak operation. I don't fault MHW3 - all of the small form espresso scales under $100 will likely be the same. I don't think I got a lemon. I think I got what I paid for and it is a solid 3 star scale due to short lifespan under frequent use.
I bought this scale after trying a different one with loud beeps which could not be turned off. I immediately silenced this scale and use it with no sound. (My personal preference - beeping appliances grate on my nerves!)It’s an ideal size, well made, and very simple to use. It’s quite accurate and saves any settings from prior use. The silicone mat makes it easy to clean and it fits right on top of the tray on my Breville Bambino espresso maker.
Does the job but sometimes I have to press the zero-ing button a few times to get it to read 0.0.The silicone mat does a good job of protected the scale; and it seems to be overall water-resistant.(I haven't checked its accuracy; I mainly use it to measure the beans before grinding and after, to make sure there wasn't signnficant retention)
Battery dies quickly. No I didn’t leave anything on it.
Great customer service from this vendor! I had a small problem so I contacted the company and they resolved my issue the very next day. Scale is a jewel, easily compares to my Acaia Lunar in every way. Battery could last a bit longer but is more than ample, and charges up quickly for the next couple of months. Highly recommend!
I added the MHW-3BOMBER Mini Coffee Scale with Timer to my espresso setup and it’s been a fantastic upgrade. If you care about dialing in consistent shots or pour-overs, a good scale makes a huge difference, and this one delivers. The 0.1g precision is excellent for espresso and the gravity sensing timer works really well. It starts automatically when the flow begins, which makes tracking shot time effortless. Everything responds quickly and accurately.Another big plus is the USB-C charging. It charges quickly and holds a charge for a long time, so you’re not constantly worrying about batteries. The compact size is also perfect for fitting on an espresso drip tray without getting in the way.Overall, it’s simple, accurate, and well designed. If you’re serious about improving your espresso or pour-over consistency, this scale is an easy recommendation.
Kind of expensive for what you get… battery life is terrible, I find myself charging it almost once a month! The rubber mat material easily gets stained, and is very difficult to wash and get clean.
What a great sclae this is. Works awesome for our espresso machine. Fits under the bambino plus really nicely for measuring shots. The battery life is good, wish that it had a better battery conservation feature though. That being said it's rechargeable so no real worries there. The scale feels and looks premium. It's small so it's not obnoxious and in the way. We don't have a huge coffee bar but still are able to leave this on the table without any issue. We tried more expensive and cheaper scales, but kept this one because it just does what it needs to and does it well. 100% recommend.
Well thought out, compact and does the job. Despite its small footprint, it can accept a full-size 58mm portafilter -- the handle hangs over the edge of the scale but the accuracy is unaffected. The Smart Mode is very handy -- for example, after first placing an empty portafilter on the scale, the scale (when in Smart Mode), automatically zeros itself so the ground coffee can be weighed. Very readable. It arrived about 2/3 charged, so I was use it from the outset. Charging via the type C port was easy, as expected. Highly recommended!
