Most people think precise coffee brewing requires a large, complicated scale. It doesn't. A slim, focused tool can give you the numbers you need without taking over your counter or your travel bag.
If you want better espresso and pour-over consistency but do not want extra bulk, the Timemore Basic Mini brings weight, time, and flow into one compact workflow. It is the kind of scale you reach for because it stays out of the way.
The TIMEMORE Basic Mini Coffee Scale measures to 0.1 g and includes regular, pour-over, and espresso modes with automatic timing and flow rate display. At just 1.58 cm thick and 192 g, it is ready for home brewing, travel, and outdoor coffee breaks.
- Measure with precision: High-precision sensors help you repeat the coffee-to-water amounts that make your favorite cup work.
- Match your brewing method: Switch between regular, pour-over, and espresso modes with timing built into the workflow.
- See your pour more clearly: The flow rate display helps you slow down, adjust, and build better technique.
- Take it wherever you brew: The slim, lightweight design fits easily into a travel kit, office drawer, or outdoor coffee bag.
- Keep your gear protected: Enlarged silicone pads add heat insulation, while the hydrophobic design helps reduce water retention.
It is perfect for traveling baristas, espresso drinkers, pour-over brewers, compact kitchens, office coffee setups, outdoor brewing, and anyone who wants a precise scale without a bulky footprint.
- Place your brewer or portafilter on the scale and choose your mode.
- Tare, start the timer, and follow the live weight and flow rate as you brew.
- Switch it off with the physical power control, then recharge by Type-C when needed.
With up to 20 hours of use from its 760 mAh battery, a Type-C charging port, heat-insulating silicone pads, and a back holder for coffee handles, the Basic Mini is designed for real brewing days.
Pack precision into your next brew. Add the TIMEMORE Basic Mini Coffee Scale to your setup today.

So I actually ordered this scale for my cookie decorating since my current scale cannot read less than a gram. When I do little classes with my fam I like to pre-measure small bags of icing and need something that is more sensitive. This scale is very compact so fits in my cookie decorating set up easily and is super light weight. It’s cool that the entire surface is the scale but I must say for me the options are a little overwhelming. I think if I was using it more frequently for my morning coffee routine as well it would probably be easier to remember. But for me I still have the label on to remember what buttons I need. As far as accuracy it seems pretty spot on so far, my main scale only works in whole numbers so hard to tell if they are far off or not.
**I received this item for free as part of the Amazon Vine program, but my only goal here is to provide an honest and unbiased review to help you in your purchasing decision. I have no incentive to do otherwise:Two stars taken right off the top due to the $69 price at the time of this review. You can get coffee scales for half the price, and even less. What does this provide that they don't?Build quality: I can't speak of longevity yet, but this little thing feels like it's been designed and built very well. It's compact, yet sturdy and feels good when handling it. It comes with a removable silicone pad that sits on top of the scale, and that feels high quality as well.Usage: I like that there's an on/off button, so the battery is being conserved. Fantastic that it's rechargeable, and comes with a USB-C cable. There are some well executed touch buttons (they're touch sensitive, not mechanical) on the top that allow you to change certain functions (oz./grams, for example). The digital readout is excellent. Very bright and easy to read. Conclusion: Costs at least twice as much as I'm comfortable paying for a food scale of any kind. But if this has some features for you that you can't find elsewhere, and you're ok with the asking price, this is a cool little scale.
Easy to use and looks great with many different machines. Very slim and works well with the profitec go.
The size is big and small enough.Easy to use
Works great. I don’t have much to say.
It's good, it's accurate. I like to use this for my pourovers, and leave my luna for pure espresso drinks. 4 stars instead of 5 because of the buttons. Will keep using.
The good:Multiple weight and volume rangesWeighs in . 1 g units2kg limit on weightPlatform is big enough for larger flasks and mugsLong battery life - many hours of continuous useReasonably fast charging, from half to full charge in a few hoursMultiple timer functionsThe bad:Fussy about where to press for Tare and Mode functionsOdd delay in response to pressing scale buttonsOverall, it's a good little scale for coffee brewing and other food uses. Capacity is enough for many recipes.
Let's be honest, this was a bit of a vanity buy. But as a serious coffee lover, I appreciate its value in tracking my caffeine and helping me stay within my limits. I also enjoy how the silicone looks with my stainless steel coffee setup. The user experience, though, is a mixed bag. It took me 20 minutes to start figuring it out. the timed weighing feature is still a mystery, and the physical on/off switch feels out of place with the haptic buttons. That said, the scale seems accurate, and it does what it's supposed to do.
This scale has so many features it’s a great product
I like this scale. It is easy to use and provides what seem to be mostly accurate-ish information. It seems like my scale is off ever-so-slightly. The look of the scale is so sleek. I'm waiting on another tool that will help me compare measurements, but this seems slightly off to me, which is not a big deal to me personally. If you are making something that requires you to follow very specific directions (complete with very specific measurements), I would personally look at a different machine based on my experience with the measurements of this one so far.
This Timemore basic mini coffee scale is a quality product from a well renowned company. I currently also use their grinder mostly for espresso. The scale is really sleek and modern looking. It also feels very solidly built. The display is nice and bright and there's no issue reading the time, weight and flow rate. YES, this also calculates the flow rate in espresso mode which is awesome! I didn't have that feature in any scale I used before. The scale has a power button on the right side. It is easy to access when you don't have the accompanying silicon mat on top. However it is a little challenging to slide when the silicon mat is on it. I wish the button was a push in, push out style like on their grinder. The espresso function can be selected by tapping the leftmost touch sensitive button on the top, 5 times. Which is the only finicky aspect of the user experience. I wish there was one tap or long press function to change modes. This kind of makes me want to set it on espresso mode and not change it. In the espresso mode, the scale will auto zero after you put a cup on it, and it will start the timer as soon as it detects coffee starting to pour. It will show the flow rate at the same time and as soon as the shot is stopped, the display holds the value and flashes it at you a few times. The only drawback is that in espresso mode, it is really hard to weigh the beans as it wants to zero out after a pause. So I decided to weigh out my beans in individual tube shaped containers, and avoid weighing beans while brewing.
I have a similar mini coffee scale and was looking for a second one for the office. The big con with this one is that the measurements are not consistent. Every time I weigh my mug for example, the tenth decimal spot is different, with a range of 0.4g variation. On my other scale, it is consistent every single time. Maybe that level does matter to some, but it's advertised at that accuracy. Also, if I even move my hand pretty far above this, the numbers jump around. This scale is a bit larger than the other one which is nice. I can see the numbers a bit better with larger mugs. I love that this one has a power switch on the side. The mat is thicker. I wish the grooves were closed on the sides, which would contain the liquid from drips or spills.I couldn't justify the higher price considering my other scale was almost half this price, plus the inconsistent measurements.
This scale is ok, but in my opinion, not worth almost $70. It does come nicely packaged, and I was able to use it right out of the box. It is a little more cumbersome to use than my other small scale. I also found that the weight was just a little off. Not really enough to make much of a difference but not spot on. At almost $70, I expect it to spot on.
