Is Inconsistency Quietly Killing Your Espresso Shots?
Without an accurate scale, you're guessing on dose and yield every single time. Even 0.5g off can mean the difference between a perfectly balanced shot and one that's bitter, sour, or just flat.
Imagine Dialing In Your Espresso Like a Café Barista — Every Morning
Precise dose, precise yield, precise timing — all on a scale small enough to sit right on your portafilter. Consistent results you can replicate, refine, and be proud of.

The numbers are blurry on mine and idk why bc other pics of this device the numbers don’t seem blurry and I already have an astigmatism. I don’t like that the same button is used to toggle through the different measuring units as the tare button bc sometimes the presses don’t register and it tares instead of toggling. Accuracy I guess is fine but I don’t really have anything to compare it to as I’m using this to measure my matcha powder. I don’t think I’m going to keep this one. It’s just too annoying to me.
Pros- lightweight, small, very accurate, easy to clean, timer included.Cons- I use this to brew espresso on my Breville Touch and to get an accurate reading, you have to place something flat (structured) under the scale. Otherwise the reading just jumps all over the place. I know lot of espresso machines have the same base, so this might be an issue for some! This is my reason for 4/5 stars. It’s an easy fix, it’s just kind of annoying. Value for the price seems to be on point. It’s easy to clean. It has a timer as well as scale (nice for espresso). Buttons work the first time you push them. That’s it that’s all
This scale works very well for measuring my espresso output. Small size fitting well under the group head and filter. First one I received stopped charging and the company quickly sent me a replacement. Good value for the money. Easy to use.
I absolutely love this scale. As someone who cares about both function and aesthetics, this was exactly what I was looking for. It’s refreshing to find a high-quality kitchen tool that doesn’t force you to sacrifice the look of your space. The white and gold design is stunning and fits perfectly on my coffee bar without looking bulky or industrial.Functionally, it works flawlessly. I primarily use it to measure my coffee beans, but I’ve also used it for other items, and it’s consistently accurate and easy to use. The size is perfect — compact enough to keep out on the counter without taking up space, yet large enough to be practical and stable. The display is clear, the buttons are responsive, and the overall build feels solid and well made. I also appreciate how intuitive it is to use — no learning curve at all.If you’re someone who loves a beautiful, cohesive kitchen setup but still wants reliable, quality tools, I would highly recommend this scale. It’s small, stunning, and performs exactly as it should.
The product as it was sent to me didn't function properly, but the customer support was very prompt and very helpful. So I can't give it five stars as the product had a flaw, but their customer service was great and very dedicated to making it right.
Just what I needed to weigh my beans and my espresso shot. Don’t question getting this tool if you’re into making great coffee.
I wanted to buy a scale that can weight my matcha. I brought a food scale but it was not precise. This coffee scale is able to weight milligrams.
Great little digital scale for making the perfect coffee of pour over coffee. It’s also perfect for weighing other things. I like that it is charged with usb and charge lasts a long time.
Scale is exactly as described - small but easy to read, sleek, easy to clean and seems to be well made. I have only used it 4 or 5 times, but it is functioning perfectly so in my opinion it is a good value for the price I paid.
Picked this up in early December after realizing I was just eyeballing my espresso doses and getting wildly inconsistent shots. Best $30 I've spent on coffee gear in a long time. The size is perfect for fitting under my portafilter. It's seriously small, like fits-in-my-hand small, but it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. I have a Gaggia Classic and the scale slides right under the group head with plenty of clearance. Some scales I looked at were too big to fit in that tight space.Accuracy is legit. I've tested it against my kitchen scale and it's spot on every time. The 0.1g precision makes a noticeable difference when dialing in espresso. I can tell when I'm at 18.0g versus 18.3g, and that small difference actually affects the shot. For pour over coffee it's also great for hitting exact water ratios. The auto timer is clutch. As soon as weight registers on the scale, it starts counting automatically. No fumbling with buttons while I'm pulling a shot. I can focus on watching the extraction and the timer just runs in the background. There's also a manual timer mode if you want to start it yourself, but I never use it.Battery life is insane. I've been using it daily for almost three months now and I've charged it maybe twice. The auto-sleep kicks in after five minutes so it's not draining power when I'm not actively brewing. The USB-C charging is convenient since I can use the same cable as my phone. The mute function is a game changer for early mornings. I just hold down two buttons and it turns off all the beeps. My wife works nights so I'm making coffee at 5:30 AM trying not to wake her up. Silent scale means one less thing beeping in a quiet house. The glass surface looks clean and modern. Way nicer than the plastic scales I was looking at. It wipes down easily when I inevitably spill coffee grounds or drips on it. The hidden LED display is a cool touch, literally disappears when the scale is off.The silicone pad it comes with is useful. I keep it on the scale to protect the glass and it gives a bit of grip so my portafilter doesn't slide around. It's also heat resistant which is nice when I'm weighing hot brew water for pour over.Build quality feels solid. The touch buttons are responsive and the glass hasn't scratched despite daily use and me being less than careful with it.Only minor complaint is the display can be hard to read in really bright light depending on the angle. Not a huge deal but occasionally I have to tilt my head to see the numbers clearly. Also, the units switch between grams, ounces, and milliliters which is fine, but I only ever use grams so that button feels wasted on me.If you're serious about espresso or pour over and you're not weighing your doses, you're missing out. This scale is small, accurate, looks good, and the battery lasts forever. Totally worth it.
Great unit, accurate, easy to clean, charges fast...and often. Lots of measurement units. Perfect for my espresso experience. A+++++
Really good scale, has a long battery life and measures things adequately. The speed of the scale is good too. It is compact and easy to use. You can also put good weight on it without it feeling like it’s going to break.
I seem to never get the same results from my coffee machine and it varied even more with the new brand that we just bought. I now have to make more adjustments with the water temperature, based on age, type of beans, etc. That affects the amount of ground dispensed and consistency in the shot until I get a new batch dialed in.So the only way to regulate these changes is to weigh both the beans and water. Using this little scale has made things easier, less frustrating and more predictable. What’s awesome is that it will automatically begin the timer with the first drop and stop when the pressure remains constant.Simple yet easy and super convenient. If you are looking for a great little digital scale this should do the trick. Highly recommended.
I’ve been using this scale to measure both coffee beans and espresso shots, and it’s been exactly what I needed. It’s simple to use right out of the box — just turn it on, put your beans or portafilter on, and it gives you precise measurements every time. The compact size makes it super easy to store or tuck away when I’m done, and it doesn’t take up much counter space at all.👍 Pros:✔️ Very accurate — great precision for coffee beans and espresso (0.1 g increments).✔️ Easy to use — straightforward buttons and display for quick weighing.✔️ Easy to clean — flat surface wipes down quickly after use.✔️ Compact size — doesn’t crowd the counter and easy to store away.👎 Cons:🔹 No ultra‑advanced features — if you want Bluetooth app sync or extra smart functions, this one keeps it basic.Overall, this scale has been a great tool for dialing in my coffee routine — especially for measuring beans and shots with consistency. If you want a small, reliable scale that’s easy to use and clean, this one delivers excellent value! 😄☕️

I am beyond impressed with the Maestri House Mini Coffee Scale! This scale is compact, portable, and incredibly precise with 0.1g accuracy—perfect for dialing in espresso shots or measuring pour-over coffee. The built-in timer is super convenient for brewing consistency, and the USB-C rechargeable battery is a game-changer. No more worrying about replacing batteries or running out mid-brew. The scale is fast, responsive, and easy to use, even during busy morning routines.I love the sleek black and silver design, which looks modern on any coffee setup. It handles up to 2kg, making it versatile for small cups or larger batches, and the auto-off function helps conserve power without any hassle. If you’re serious about making consistent, high-quality coffee at home—whether espresso, pour-over, or even tea—this is a must-have tool. Highly recommend for any coffee enthusiast!
I really like this. It's nice and small, while being accurate and feeling like a quality scale. It has a physical on-off switch, which is a welcome addition. It's water resistant and seems to be durable when used for espresso weight measuring. It's bright and easy to read, and works great. You can read other reviews and see that, yes, when you're pulling a shot, it will sometimes have a brief freeze between what is usually regular updates. It's not enough to bother me considering the other scales I've tired to use in the past. For the price I paid for this, those brief freezes are undesirable, but small and easy for me to live with.As great reasonably priced small coffee scale. You can spend a lot more, but at this price, it's very good. It really should be 4.5 stars, but I'm rounding up.
I'm very pleased with this small scale. It is very smal like I wanted it to be,l and is perfect for my purpose, which is to precisely measure coffee beans before grinding. I'm not using it to measure espresso output, although it would apparently work well for that. It came fully charged, and it has a small recharging cord so you don't have to fuss with batteries. To recharge you would of course need a wall plug, but that is true of virtually every rechargeable item these days. I like that it has an on-off switch on the side rather than being auto-on. It's easy to switch from ounces to grams to ml, and it has a tare function as well. The digital numbers are easy to read. The measurements are on the right side, the timer is on the left. It's actually even smaller than I anticipated, but I like that as the only thing I put on it is my coffee bean measuring cup. It comes with a silicone topper that lays over the top. I can't judge battery life between charges, but I suspect it will last a very long time since I only use it once a day. As long as it doesn't go wonky, I'm very pleased with it. I don't plan to keep it on top of my espresso machine so I'm not worried about heat under it or anything like that. Nice little scale if you want to measure weight in small .1 increments.
I have bought several of these from other sellers. The batteries all failed eventually. I really liked this one. With the glass top, the slightly larger body and the higher price I thought this one might be different. I destroyed one of the other ones to see if I could see the battery, and failed. The battery indicator started flashing on this one after two weeks. I charged it overnight and and it was still flashing. I charged it for another night - I read somewhere to not use a "fast charger" but no definition of how fast. So I used an old Apple original cube because I don't they get any slower than that. Eventually I used it with light flashing for two more weeks before it quit altogether. So I searched most of the other similar ones here - (and there a lot of them) to try again. All of them had reviews mentioning early battery failure. The 4 star ratings appeared to come from people that wrote them after a few uses. I was about to give up and use a huge kitchen scale. But in one of the reviews a guy writes that these don't work with "standard USB C cables". ???? USB C IS A STANDARD!! Anything else is not USBC. Just on a whim, because I had run out of options, I looked around and found a cable that came with one the scales I had bought. I charged it overnight as before. Next morning it came on and the light was not flashing. How many people on this planet have iPhones or something else with a USB C cable and it's already plugged into a charger, and naturally used it to charge this scale rather than use the cheap short one that came with the scale and came without a charger? I'm not changing my rating from 1 star because they must know that and should have a sticker on the front of the scale saying to use only their cheap nonstandard cable.I will look up this review when it quits working for good. If it makes it past one year it will be my favorite scale. When I started this odyssey I had hoped for a couple of years. Now I will settle for one.I should note my main use: Aeropress, at least five or six times every day - weighing the Dose and monitoring the Brew Time. Almost any of these type things will work fine for that with a minimal countertop footprint...unless they fail.Update - Uprated: So. I recharged it with their cheap short cable. The charge lasted at least twice as long as the original charge it came with. The next time the charge light came on I watched it and it only took about an hour to charge up.I'm still mad that I threw two other ones away. But I have to uprate this from One Star to 5.I like it.It seems to be easier than the others to keep from going from grams to something else. And I wish the "auto" function would go away but it shows a big AUTO notice on the screen so it's hard to miss if you get it turned on accidentally. I only do americanos with my expresso machine so it wouldn't work with that anyway.Bottom line - this one is better than the others I've bought hands down. I hope I don't have to buy another soon. It's smaller than the largest one, nice glass top, and more readable display. Most of these ads look the same but they are all different in some ways. All of them are repeatable so if you use a dosing cup for instance it weighs the same every time to the 10th g, or minus g if it' removed.I can only attest to Aeropress or Kalita pour overs but it's the best of the four I have tried.
