These double-wall glass coffee mugs are very stylish! They’re perfect for cappuccinos. This is actually my second time buying them as gifts, and every time I have guests over, they love them and always ask where I got them.
We have a new expresso machine, so I wanted to celebrate our upgrade with some new cups. Our previous machine-made expresso but didn't do anything to make fancy creamed drinks. You can see from the photos of the cup, that the glass helps make for a pretty culinary experience. Of course, adding the pecan pastry also helps. My wife agreed with this point but there after we had different viewpoints which I'll outline.The dead space area between the double walls is more substantial than any of the other two walled cups that we have. the area on the surface is smaller and the well deeper than any of the other four sets we have. That space with less surface area helps keep the coffee hotter, but for my wife, she relied on muscle memory in using the former cups when she started to sip. The extra wall pushes out the exterior glass just enough so that you may dribble it on yourself while drinking. I didn't have that problem as I was watching the cup. My wife has a habit of reading and blindly putting the cup to her lips without looking at it. That is fine but since this cup uses a different design it became a problem for her. After two dribbles she switched back to the old cups.The cup handle was also a problem for her. She is small and weighs about 100 pounds. There was a lot of empty space between her hand when holding the cup and the cup's wall. She felt it difficult to hold. I'm twice her size and had no issues and thought it was comfortable cup handle. If you're buying this as a gift you might want to think about the recipient and how big or small, they are. If you can, watch how the intended gift recipient brings the cup to their lips when drinking. For example, are they doing something else when drinking coffee or are they focused on the coffee experience.
