This 6 cup Fino kettle is a quality item: beautifully made, elegant in design and lightweight when pouring. The handle is smooth and comfortable. The top pops off easily for filling. When conducting a pour over I can exercise a new level of control keeping the coffee bloom perfectly stable and level which in my opinion improves the extraction process and flavor. I love using it, the ergonomics are the best. But...Two things keep it from attaining perfection:1. It does not have an audible boiling whistle so you must either stand nearby and watch it, put on a timer (five minutes or less), or risk forgetting that you put the fire under the kettle.2. The long slender spout can absorb heat to the point where it causes the water to boil further on its journey up the spout causing sputtering during the pour which can send coffee grounds ejecting from the filter. The solution is to be patient and wait about one minute for the spout to cool and then pour and it then pours smoothly.My days of bulky heavy kettles are in the rear view mirror, this is my new favorite coffee tool.

This is a nicely made pour over gooseneck with a very well controlled pour. No matter how slow I try pouring water it's always controlled. This was another one of those Co-Pilot recommendations for the price, and it was right. Water heats up quickly in it; it's made of stainless steel so rust should not be a problem; the build quality is nice, and the kettle shines up so nicely it could set out on the counter and look great for anyone walking through the kitchen.I'm sure if you paid 4 times more you could find a better one, but for the price this is very difficult to beat.Some may not like the fact that it doesn't come with a thermometer, so here's the deal with those thermometers. I bought one that had a thermometer, and after a couple of uses the dial needle simply froze in place, I tried knocking it gently, took off the plastic cover and moved the needle, nothing, it just stayed locked wherever I moved the needle to. Now I simply use a digital thermometer I already had, and I stick it in one of the 3 holes on the lid. But the real truth is that once you get used to the sound that the water makes when it reaches boil, you will no longer need the thermometer, just take the kettle of the heat for 30 seconds and the temperature will be where it needs to be for proper coffee making.I haven't cleaned mine since I bought it, but all I do is boil filtered water in it so it's not getting dirty, but I did clean it before I used it for the first time, and you can tell from the looks of it it's easy to clean.

This heats quickly and pours well, but my husband says it adds a weird taste to the water and he has switched back to using his old kettle.

Despite being described as made in Japan, the unit that I received was made in China. This was the FINO 6 cup

I returned this order but bought other item which is higher price because the cheaper one is made in China.Updated on 1/14/2022:The cheaper one is Made in China, so I returned the cheaper one. But, the higher price and 4&1/2 cup one is made in Japan, which made me more satisfied. Good buy!!

I bought this kettle to use with my Chemex coffee pot. The water pours from the kettle in a small, manageable stream. The handle is well-placed for comfort and pouring control. It doesn’t whistle when the water is boiling, but none of these tiny pour-over kettles whistle, so you have to keep a eye on it. The pot fits perfectly on the smallest burner on my gas range. Many reviewers for this kettle and other brands complained about rusting, so I am careful to dry the pot’s insides when I am done. A good value.

High quality Japanese kettle perfect for tea or coffee. Heats quickly and pours with good control. Love it and highly recommend this kettle. But this is not a large volume kettle.
