DaVinci Gourmet Sugar-Free Chocolate Syrup is a thick, pourable syrup designed for mixing into coffee, milk, and desserts. It blends easily into both hot and cold drinks without requiring much stirring and dissolves smoothly.Flavor-wise, it delivers a sweet chocolate profile. As with most sugar-free syrups, there is a mild artificial sweetener aftertaste, but it is subtle when used in smaller amounts and mixed into coffee or milk-based drinks. The consistency is slightly viscous, making it easy to control portions without it becoming too runny.I’ve been using it while on a low-carb/keto-style diet, and it’s been helpful for making coffee more enjoyable without adding sugar. Even for someone who doesn’t usually prefer sweet flavors, it works well in moderation.Best suited for coffee drinks, lattes, or protein shakes rather than standalone dessert use.Overall, it’s a functional sugar-free syrup that performs well in beverages, with expected tradeoffs in sweetness realism due to the sugar-free formulation.
Nice flavor … bought for coffee but I’ve used it on different things.
I really like this product! Just a capful in my morning coffee! It was delivered quickly and packaged to handle any rough treatment while in shipping process.
I really was worried that this would taste like garbage, or send me immediately to the rest room for being sugar free. I'm trying to cut down on sugar, but absolutely love DaVinci syrups. Bought it expecting to hate it, but honestly I can't tell the difference between this one and their full sugar version. Switching all my flavors over to sugar free from now on.
I don’t usually buy sugar free because the after taste is often kind of yucky to me but this one is nice! I haven’t had it plain, I usually have other flavors but it’s subtle
This syrup was absolutely delicious and exactly what I was looking for. Definitely recommend and will be buying again.
I like this sugar free cherry syrup and mostly use it in my iced water with a few other flavors. One pump is enough to help bring out the other flavors without overpowering them.If I use too much, it develops an aftertaste that I'm not fond of. As long as I stick with one pump, I really enjoy it.I'm thinking about trying it on some Halo Top or other sugar free ice cream because those can sometimes be a little plain. This bottle will last quite a while since only a small amount is needed. I'm not sure yet if I'll buy it again, but I'll definitely finish this bottle first.
Has a very good taste & excellent in hot or cold coffee!!!
Trying to cut out sugar and creamers but missing the pumpkin spice flavor. I bought the gingerbread sugar free syrup. This is the first sugar free syrup that actually tastes good to me. No chemical aftertaste, just spiciness.
Tried this brand for the first time. The watermelon flavor was strong & not watered down, which is excellent. It is so delicious that we have used it several times a week & the plastic bottle is almost empty.
I love their caramel it tastes just like caramel the sugar-free and it's a great value but there amaretto one is gross
I almost didn’t buy this based on other reviews. I had this flavor at a coffee shop and loved it, but I wanted a sugar free version. I’m very happy with this flavor! I don’t taste any coconut flavor like other reviews said. I actually bought this and the same flavor from another brand. I prefer this one. Anyone who uses sugar free syrups will know that a lot of brands have an aftertaste. To me, DaVinci doesn’t. I like this flavor a lot and have even used it in my Coke Zero. Super yummy! I will say that this overall flavor could be stronger but I just use two pumps instead of one. This bottle also fits the Amazon syrup pumps perfectly. So I suggest that you grab those too since this bottle doesn’t come with a pump. I will repurchase.
I first purchased this cherry syrup for iced tea --- it doesn't really taste very good in my tea. But, one night recently I added it to my sugar free hot chocolate !! Oh my, the flavor of chocolate covered cherries at Christmas. I use a teaspoon of Hershey's Cocoa powder, mixed into a cup of hot water with Swiss Miss non fat dried milk mixed in, Splenda, a touch of cinnamon and vanilla, and a drizzle of this Cherry Syrup. Stir and heat in microwave. Guilt Free Delicious.
Talk about delicious, baby?! Talk about good and refreshing?! Use it in muffins or baked goods, splash it in your vinaigrette, use it for your morning tea. I used it for ice ice smoothies, sitting happy as a hen poolside, sipping my blended drink as if it had a little umbrella in it and I was at the beach instead of my own backyard. Probably the best sugar free syrup ever invented, hands down. Ice ice is your bestie during it, and I drank it right up. I would sponsor this in a heartbeat, would tell my friends about it for free, would sell it for double the price. AMAZING!!!
I buy this stuff like every 6 weeks or so. I use it every day in my lattes and I cannot tell it does not have sugar. I am trying to cut down some calories and one of the easiest ways was in my sugary drinks that I made in the morning. I bought this, figuring it would taste gross but at least it would be worth a shot. I honestly cannot tell the difference in this and one with sugar. It is so rich and buttery almost, it is perfect in my coffee. I put in in a pretty dispenser bottle and i never told my husband when I switched from sugar to sugar free and to this day he has not mentioned anything about it tasting off or weird. He just keeps using it every day as if nothing has changed.
It tastes great. It is very sweet but very much a coconut taste. It doesn't taste like chemicals at all, and I have plenty of experience in sweeteners since sugar gives me stomach aches. Stevia tastes great, but aspartame doesn't and tastes like chemicals. It's the difference between Coke Zero and Diet Coke. NO CHEMICAL TASTE HERE IF YOU LIKE COKE ZERO. You might not like it if you like Diet Coke. I love how much there is, too. I have had coconut black tea for MONTHS with this bottle. It barely crystalized at all at the cap. I have a VERY sensitive stomach, though, so using too much in one cup gives me a stomach ache.
I know, it's only chocolate flavored syrup, but if you're like me...IKYK!!!I'll say this right off the bat; I am a private/pastry chef who cringes at thought of not using "real" products - full fat, full sugar = full flavor...*Especially when it comes to chocolate ;)Well, at least that's regarding what I feed other people, haha. For me, I am always looking to reduce my fat, sugar, and carb intake. I am also super super sensitive to "artificial" products, and in terms of this particular item, sugar substitutes. I can pick up even the slightest bit of bitterness, chemical, metallic, what have you, taste/aftertaste. I can't tell how how much money I've spent on sugar substitutes in a desperate search to compensate for the loss of my brown sugar in my coffee 🤗 (monkfruit/alluose blend clear winner btw).Even Stevia - yuk....and especially Splenda, which is why I was floored at how good this tastes (sucralose). But as I was looking to get a minimum for free delivery, I came across this at a very cheap price and went for it.*I usually go with Choc Zero (monk fruit)- the "Cupcake flavor" is heaven btw.Anyhoos, as previously stated, game changer. Even straight out of the bottle it's pretty dang good. A lovely (and satisfying) chocolate flavor. Admittedly, a very very slight bitter/metallic taste, albeit, tbh, was not dissimilar to that said bitter/metallic taste you get from cocoa powder. So, all good.*I happened to be drinking a cup of coffee at the time it was delivered, so I threw a bit in it, and yyyyummmmie! It's rather sweet, but I think that's a good thing as the level of sweetness is equal to the level of "chocolate" flavor- meaning you don't need a lot. - at least IMO.It's also water thin (which is expected as there is no ingredient that would add viscosity, eg: corn syrup or sugar), so given the concentrated sweetness/flavor, I recommend putting it in a pourtop bottle like I did.*If you don't have one, try a spent honey or ketchup squeeze bottle, for example (I always save mine, lol).Or... just poke a small hole in the safety seal -sorry if the above seems obvious, you'd be surprised how many times I've heard - "I've never thought of that", haha.Anyhoos, after all that long rambling- I highly recommend this product. Can't wait to try it mixed with my (low fat, no sugar) peanut butter powder and spreading on my favorite "Lewis" zero net carbs avocado & seeds keto bread (shout out); as well as trying the sugar free cherry...Chocolate-cherry morning coffee...or martini, yum!😋, take your pick and indulge guilt free!!!
Yummy
Great. Only thing missing is the jelly.
This syrup tastes like peanut butter. It doesn't have a strong peanut butter flavor but is good mixed with foods like yogurt and on ice-cream. I don't like it in drinks because it makes them taste weird. But itmay suit your taste if you like a light nutty flavor.
I came across the DaVinci Sugar-Free Peanut Butter Syrup after seeing someone talk about it on social media and had to try it for myself. I love peanut butter, but I’m not a fan of all the calories that usually come with it. I use PB Fit pretty often, but let’s be honest—mixing it with just water doesn’t always give you the best flavor or texture.I started using this syrup instead of water when mixing up my PB Fit, and it completely changed the game. It brought out such a rich peanut butter flavor and made it taste so much better. From there, I got a little creative and started adding it to other things, like drizzling it over French toast or mixing it into my yogurt bowls. Every time, it gave my recipes that extra peanut butter kick I’m always craving. If you’re as into peanut butter as I clearly am, this is definitely worth trying. I’m so glad I found it. it’s become one of my new go-to ingredients!
I wanted to love this brand and had high hopes based on their reputation. Instead, it turned out to be a big disappointment.Don't get me wrong, the flavor is tasty, however it's far, far too weak. Unless you like just a hint of flavor, which still requires multiple pumps, you're going to be let down. To be fair, I like a fairly strong flavor, however even with more than ten pumps, even trying up to twenty, the flavor was stubbornly subtle. Don't expect to ever reach the robustness of, say, a flavored coffee creamer, or a coffee shop syrup. The bottom line is that it's a terrible value and I won't be purchasing again. In fact, I think I'm being generous with the three-star rating, which is quite rare for someone who will generally only leave reviews unless they are stellar, or so bad that other consumers should beware.
Because I have tried a few flavors at this point, I don't want my 3 star review to take away from non-peanut butter flavors and am changing it to a 5 star review. To preface this review, I use these flavoring syrups exclusively in low calorie plant-based milkshakes. I wanted something to scratch the itch for ice cream while not being overly excessive in calories. The shakes I make just use 2 cups oat milk, 1 cup flavoring syrup (maybe a bit excessive, 3/4 cups works too or even less maybe), 2 tsp swerve, 1 tsp xanthan gum, and 1 tbsp of plant-based whipping cream. Blending the oat milk, whipping cream, flavoring syrup, and swerve first creates a super frothy drink (probably would be good on its own), then adding ice and xanthan gum for a second blending stage creates a perfect shake consistency. Honestly pretty excited to try more flavors over time.Banana - This is the flavor that got me to try these syrups initially, Jordan's Skinny Mixes doesn't have banana split regularly and I love banana shakes. The flavoring is perfect and exactly what I wanted, it doesn't taste like true banana but almost like laffy taffy banana if you get what I'm saying. A candy banana I guess. Personally that's what I wanted and love this flavor so much.Chocolate - This is really good, solid chocolate flavor and created some really decadent shakes.French Vanilla - This tasted great, not too much to say here. Made a solid healthy vanilla shake.German Chocolate Cake - This is really good, enjoyed my shake with this. I definitely get more of a caramel flavor from this but I love it and will definitely use it again.Peanut Butter - I will start by saying I am not a fan of the peanut butter flavoring although I wanted to be. I see positive reviews so maybe that is just me or maybe its because I ordred from a third party vendor, but it did not taste like peanut butter to me. Clearly some people DO like it, so again it could be because of the third party vendor; I fully intend on verifying this and will update my review.White Chocolate - I'm a fiend for white chocolate and I love this. Just finished a health shake using this syrup and it was incredibly delicious. Not much more to say, I love it. I do actually like it more than the Jordan's white chocolate as well, the Jordan's white chocolate almost has a coffee hint to it.
The only thing with this syrup is, it is not very strong. Need extra syrup to flavor. The taste though is delicious.
